Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KOs) was stripped of his WBO junior lightweight title but not his unbeaten record, as he stopped Woodland's Vicente Escobedo (26-4, 15 KOs) in the fifth round Saturday night in Cincinnati.

Broner's size advantage, mainly a result of his inability to make weight twice in two days, was evident in the ring.  Despite Escobedo's best attempts to attack Broner, especially to the body in the third round, Broner shook off the advances with little trouble.

Eventually, Broner bloodied Escobedo and pinned him on the ropes, utilizing his blinding speed to overwhelm the 2004 Olympian and prompt the stoppage.
