A pair of pros from Redwood City, junior lightweight Jesus Partida and cruiserweight Juan Hernandez, defeated separate foes at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Wash., Saturday night.

Meanwhile, at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, Hayward junior middleweight Aaron "Heavy Metal" Coley (2-0, 1 KO) returned to the site of his successful pro debut with a second-round stoppage of Stockton's John Dunham (1-9-1).  In other action on the card, Sanger's Jose Alvarez (2-1) cruised to a unanimous decision over Danny Garcia (5-2, 3 KOs).

Coley, a power-punching southpaw, overwhelmed Dunham, who lost his fourth bout in a row.

Hernandez (2-1, 2 KOs) knocked out Josh Hewson (1-1) in the second round.

"Juan was fighting an MMA kid, and he was tough because Juan hit him with several shots that would knock out a lot of guys," said Hernandez' manager, Rick Nava. "He knocked him down once in the first and twice in the third.  Juan was much too strong in the end."

Partida (2-0-1) won a four-round majority decision over Gerardo Reyes (1-1).

"I thought Jesus outmanuevered him and outworked him all four rounds," said matchmaker Eddie Rodriquez.  "I don't know what the third judge was watching to have it a draw."

Visalia's Jose Leon (1-1-1) lost by third-round stoppage to debutant Marcelino Pineda (1-0, 1 KO).
