The card will still go on as planned, as tournament organizer Arvin Jugarap has done an outstanding job putting together the rest of the event and will undoubtedly find another intriguing matchup to fill the now-vacant headline spot.
San Jose PAL's Correa, who won the Olympic Trials last year at 108 pounds but was unable to qualify for London after being unable to make weight, has moved up to the 123-pound class where he will meet Sacramento Dogg Pound's Ayala.
Ayala (right) hopes to defeat another nationally-ranked amateur, but it will no longer be Correa.
Ayala has crashed the national bantamweight rankings for his exploits at the latest U.S. Nationals as well as the recent Adidas Tournament at Oxnard PAL.
