CSN Spotlight: Perfect Storm for Bradley Against Pacquiao

Like a master poker player on the Las Vegas Strip, Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley isn’t short on confidence heading into his Saturday showdown with Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao, boxing’s current pound-for-pound king.

Last week, the Palm Springs native brazenly passed out faux credentials to the media in advance of “Pacquiao-Bradley II” at at the MGM Grand, an inference that his Filipino opponent would exercise an immediate rematch clause following an upset loss.

“I'm ready to shock the world,” Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs) said.  “I'm ready to do whatever it takes to win this fight. It's going to be a great fight. Let's get it on, baby.”

Bradley has been so sure of a return bout that at yesterday’s final press conference, he held aloft an oversized ticket for the fight, drawing chuckles from an amused Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs).

“When I saw that, I’m just smiling and laughing,” said Pacquiao, the reigning WBO 147-pound champion, in an interview with ESPN.  “He doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
