Note: The glove in the picture above is not the same one in the raffle, but it is indeed signed by Floyd Mayweather.
Woodland’s own Escobedo spent his childhood at the Woodland Boxing Club located in the Yolano Recreation Center and is now inviting everyone to “help the kids” by purchasing a raffle ticket to win an autographed glove signed by Floyd "Money" Mayweather or one signed by Escobedo.
Paco Presents Boxing has been contributing a portion of the proceeds to the Center from previous matches and would like the community to join in the effort.
The Woodland Boxing Club is in need of everything and just as it helped Vicente reach the Olympics eight years ago, it’s helping several kids today. Most of their equipment is old and worn out. The ENTIRE proceeds from the raffle will go to helping pay for new equipment for the next generation of Woodland boxers.
Tickets are selling for $2 each and can be purchased online at www.pacopresentsboxing.com, at the Friday night weigh-in at Road Trip Bar & Grill in Capay, at Paco’s Restaurant, and at the night of the boxing event on Saturday, May 12th at the Community Center.
In order to win a signed Mayweather or Escobedo glove, the ticket holder must be present to win. The drawing for the raffle will be held during the "Saturday Night Fights" event.
There are a limited number of tickets available for Saturday and can be bought at pacopresentsboxing.com or at Paco’s Restaurant located at 435 Main St., Woodland, CA. Doors open at 6 p.m.
