Fresno's Gary Salazar won his National PAL opener in Toledo, Ohio, with a 19-12 victory over San Diego's Jorge Ruiz in the Open 123-pound division.
In Wednesday's Open division action, flyweight Eros Correa of San Jose faces Charles Williams of Region 14, while Bakersfield middleweight Daniel Valdivia fights Ohio's Russell Scott.
