Valdivia edged out a decision on Wednesday.

San Jose PAL's Eros Correa continued to get acquainted with his new weight class, advancing to the Open division flyweight quarterfinals at the National PAL in Toledo, Ohio, with a 17-12 win over Colorado's Charles Williams.  Correa now faces Chicago's Christian Williams.

In his Open division middleweight opener, Bakersfield's Daniel Valdivia defeated Ohio's Russell Scott 13-11.  Valdivia will now take on New York's Peter Dobson.

The Fresno pair of Efren Lopez (119-pound J.O.) and Gary Salazar (123-pound Open) will see action on Thursday as well.  Lopez fights Florida's Antonio Williams while Salazar gets Texas's Hector Valdez.
