Eros Correa advanced in the first day of National PAL action.
A pair of Region 11 fighters won their opening bouts on Monday, as San Jose PAL's Eros Correa and Fresno Main Event's Efren Lopez had their hands raised at the National PAL in Toledo, Ohio.
Correa, a 114-pounder in the Open division, defeated Emilio Ruiz of Kansas City, Kan., by walkover. In the 15/16-year-old Junior Olympic division, the 119-pound Lopez outpointed Mack Allison of Baltimore, Md., 23-7.
Tuesday's action has Fresno's Gary Salazar in the 123-pound Open division against Jorge Ruiz.
