Moreno has plenty of reason to smile after shocking Kentikian in Germany. (Team Moreno)

Watsonville's Carina Moreno was crowned world champion in a third weight class Saturday, stunning Susi Kentikian by split decision at Castello in Dusseldorf, Germany, for the vacant WBA flyweight title.

According to BoxingScene.com, two 96-94 tallies for Moreno overruled a 97-93 card for Kentikian.  Moreno (23-5, 6 KOs) had lost four of five coming into the clash, while Kentikian (29-2, 16 KOs), of Hamburg, Germany, was coming off a majority decision loss to San Jose's Melissa McMorrow in May.

Moreno now adds a 112-pound title to previous belts at 105 and 108 pounds.
