Junior lightweight Jesus Partida (1-0-1) battled his way to his first win as a professional by taking a majority decision against Carlos Gonzalez (0-1) at the Finish Line Sports Grill in Pomona last Saturday.

A 38-38 card from judge David Denkin was overruled by Jonathan Davis' tally of 40-36 and Patrick Connolly's total of 39-37 in favor of Partida, who fights out of Redwood City Gladiators.

Partida was coming off a split draw with Denis Madriz last September in both fighters' debuts.
